WORK EXPERIENCE
Staff Engineer, WHPacific Inc., Albuquerque, NM (Dec 2007 – present)
· Assistant Project Manager for a variety of public flood control planning and design projects; prepared reports and implementation plans that enabled the client to prioritize and pursue funding for land acquisition and future stormwater construction projects.
· Built and analyzed hydrology models using the latest HEC-HMS and ArcMap/GIS software.
· Presented technical information to a wide variety of audiences at public meetings; assisted with the public review process; coordinated with consultants, municipalities, local authorities, and civic organizations to collect feedback and produce plans/designs in a timely manner.
· Successfully managed the construction process (meetings, RFIs, pay applications, change orders, and final reports) for two stormwater projects with construction costs exceeding $1 million; both projects were completed on time and within budget expectations, resulting in increased flood protection for the community.
· Integrated innovative multiple-use amenities into plans and designs to enhance quality of life.

Water Conservation Program Administrator, City of Denver, Denver, CO (Dec 2006 – 2007)
· Responsible for the development, design, and implementation of water conservation program activities for the Denver Parks and Recreation Department, resulting in a department-wide increase in the use of water efficient products and practices.
· Managed the $2.6 million Parks water consumption budget; developed data tracking tools to increase budget/billing efficiency, providing over $100,000 in cost savings to the department.
· Managed $300,000 in construction projects for drainage and bluegrass conversion (xeriscape) projects; developed bid solicitations (RFBs); responsible for construction oversight and coordination to ensure timely and cost effective completion of projects.
· Served as a resource and liaison for Parks Administration and Field Staff, other City/County agencies (Greenprint Denver, Denver Water, Environmental Health, Wastewater), as well as civic organizations and the general public.
· Collected and analyzed water use, water quality, and weather data for evaluative purposes.
· Supervised one full-time employee and one part-time intern; provided conflict resolution, staff workload management, training and outreach support.
